DIESEL GENERATOR FUEL OIL SYSTEMS (TAC NOS. 47379,47380)
RE:
PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 By letters dated October 1, 1981, November 15, 1984, November 24, 1986, September 2, 1987 and November 18, 1987, the Philadelphia Electric Company (licensee) has requested changes in the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS) Technical Specifications (TS) related to the diesel generator fuel oil system to bring it into conformance with the provisions of Regulatory Guide 1.137. The NRC staff anticipates being able to complete its review of this subject upon receipt of certain confirmatory information.
Specifically, the licensee is requested to confirm that the diesel generator fuel oil system is, as apparently indicated by UFSAR Appendices C and D, included on the PBAPS Q-list and is designed to seismic Category I criteria.
Also, please specify the standards for design of the fuel oil piping and provide the results of the testing committed to in the November 18 submittal when available.
