Freedom of Information Act Request
Dear Mr. Grimsley:
I hereby request, pursuant to the federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. S552, as amended, copies of all records (as that term is defined in 10 C.F.R. Part 9) con-taining the following information:
All information which explains, clarifies or interprets the phrase "unreviewed safety question."
This phrase is defined in 10 C.F.R. S 50. 59 (c) with the following language:
(i) if the probability of occurrence or the consequences of an accident or malfunction of equipment important to safety previously evaluated in the safety analysis report may be increaced; or (ii) if a possibility for an accident or malfunc-tion of a different type than any evaluated pre-viously in the safety analysis report msy be created; or (iii) if the margin of safety as defined in the basis for any technical specifi-cation is reduced.
By way of example, I am especially interested in guidance prepared by the NRC Staff, the Executive Director of Operations or the NRC Office of General Counsel.
I am not interested in rulemaking notices from the Federal Register or interpretations contained in inspection reports or notices of violation.
