NRC Region III has received information from an individual engaged in activities licensed by NRC and controlled by Comonwealth Edison Company at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Station concerning improper radiological work practices by a Comonwealth Edison Company contractor employee. It is our understanding that the contractor employee is no longer working at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Station. Because of this and the general nature of the infomation, we do not intend to pursue this matter further ourselves, nor have we detemined the veracity of the information.

We are providing the information to you for evaluation and action as you deem appropriate. No response to the NRC is required.

Details of the informatior, received by NRC Region III are enclosed and are considered as Exempt froin Public Disclosure in accordance with Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2.790(a).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter, excluding the enclosure, will be placud in the NRC Public Document Room.
