REACTOR TRIP SYSTEM RELIABILITY - ON-LINE TEST!hG (TAC N0. 61035)
The staff has completed its review of the above subject item in Generic Letter 83-28, Required Actions Based on Ger.eric Implications of Salem ATWS Events.
The staff finds that the periodic testing of the reactor trip system as outlined in Gulf States Utilities' submittals of August 3,1984, May 20,1985, and September 22, 1987 is acceptable.
This completes the staff's action for Item 4.5.2 of Generic Letter 83-28.
A copy of the related safety evaluation is enclosed.
The staff's review of Item 4.5.3 of Generic Letter 83-28 is continuing. The result of the staff's review will be the subject of separate correspondence.
