Dear Sir:

My letter of May 13, 1988 stated that a Technical Specification Interpretation would be issued by June 15, 1988 to clarify the application of the equation 2.2-1 concerning Rated Thermal Power. This Interpretation is being written but we find that we will need additional time in order to obtain the required review and management approval prior to Issuance.

We expect to issue the Interpretation no later than July 21, 1988.
