We have reviewed the revisions to the University of New Mexico Operator Recertification Schedule which you submitted on February 21, 1977.

Specifically, these changes include a revised schedule in which the operational recertification is performed in March and October and the annual written examination is given each March. Based on our review, we find these revisions to be acceptable.

Your attention is directed to the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54 (i-1). We believe that falling one semester behind the approved schedule constitutes a decrease in the frequency of cenducting different parts of the program.

In the future, any changes that fall within the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54 (i-1) should be submitted to and approved by this office prior to implementation.
