EXERCISE OF ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION A letter to Envirocare of Utah, Inc., is being issued today to exercise enforcement discretion pursuant to Section VII.B.6 of.the Enforcement Policy and not issue a Notice of Violation for circumstances in which
.Envirocare was in possession of significantly more than 350 grams of special nuclear material (SNM). Absent an NRC exemption, quantities of SNM in this amount may be possessed only under an NRC license. This matter was approved by the Commission in a Staff Requirements Memorandum (SRM) dated September 25, 1998.
