SUBJECT:
Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units 2 and 3,1998 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report, Report No. 56 Gentlemen:
Attached is the 1998 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report No. 55, for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station for the period January 1,1998 through December 31,1998. This report is submitted in compliance with Appendix A of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Operating License, Section 6.9.2.
The Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program found that Peach Bottom's effects on the environment were not measurable in any sample media except for a small amount of Co-60 activity in one sediment sample. Trace concentrations of Cs-137 were found in the sediment consistent with levels observed in previous years.
q The 1998 Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program confirmed that the environmental effects from radioactive releases were well below Peach Bottom Technical Specifications and applicable regulatory limits.
