RE: Exelon Fleet RR for SPI for Appendix J valves

Lisa, Here is the information that NRC staff is looking for:
1) List of valves and system they are in.
2) A maintenance review and/or history of each valve performance. This could be a group analysis. For example, there are 10 identical sample valves in similar system conditions that have had no failures or issues.
3) Valves that have been bad actors or susceptible to degradation should be identified and considered not to be added to an Appendix J Option B type schedule.
4) For valves with previous relief requests made and authorized, the list and history need not be re-stated. A list of the valves and the ADAMS Accession number of the safety evaluation that approved is sufficient.

[External_Sender] Exelon Fleet RR for SPI for Appendix J valves

Blake, I want to make sure I understand what the staff is looking for in the Exelon submittal.

I understand that the staff is looking for a list of valves. What I am not sure is what other information is needed associated with the list of valves. Can we simply provide a list of valves and the associated accession number as the valves are listed in the Inservice Testing Program Plans?

As for a discussion of performance, can we list which valves are currently on Appendix J extended frequencies and which valves will be when performance improves? Our goal is to ask in this relief request for all the valves in the population and allow the Appendix J Program or previously approved RRs to determine frequency based on performance.
