Letter Authorization Application Utilizing Certificate USA/9372/B(U)F-96 for Model No. TN-81 Transport Package

9372, Revision No. 2, for the Model No. TN-B1 Package (2) Framatome TN-B1 Safety Analysis Report, FS1 -0014159, Revision 9, Docket No. 71-9372 Framatome Inc. (Framatome), is submitting a letter authorization request utilizing Certificate of Compliance No. 9372 for the TN-B1 packaging. This request is to provide for the safe transport of a small number of Framatome boiling water reactor ATRIUM 1 0XM (FANP 1Ox10) fresh fuel assemblies equipped with inert test rods supporting the development of Enhanced Accident Tolerant Fuels (eATF).
Included in this letter are three attachments that support the requested authorization.
Attachment 1 includes the Authorization Description, dated June 15, 2020.
Attachment 2, Orano, CALC-3023422, Revision 0, TN-B1 Letter Authorization Criticality Analysis.
To support the shipping window beginning in mid-February, Framatome requests the authorization by January 8, 2021.
