ORDER SUSPEN: NG LICENSE (EFFECTIVE IMMEDl'.TE:.Y) A.ND NOTICE 0F DENIAL OF.. 'LICATION FOR RENEWAL OF LICENSE This is to inform the Comiss... 'at an Order Suspending License (Effective Imediately) and Notice of Denial of Application for Renewal of License is being issued today to Maurice P. Acosta, Jr., a licensed reactor operator employed at Southern California Edison Company's San Onofre Station. This action is based on the Licensee's failure of three drug tests conducted by SCE in accordance with SCE's fitness for duty program.
Under the terms of the Order, the licensee may within 20 days of the date of receipt of the Order, request a hearing. However, a request for hearing will not stay the imediate effectiveness of this Order.
The operator has not yet received notice of this order. A press release will l
be issued after the operator has received the order, The State of California will be notified.
