This letter is to express my appreciation to. members of your staff, particularly Messrs. J. Zach, C. Krause and R. Mulheron, for the excellent preparation and thoroughness evident in the arrangements made for our visit on-March 25th and 26th to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant site and Wisconsin Electric Power Company (WEPCO) corporate offices. The meeting with the licensing personnel and corporate managers at WEPC0 headquarters was quite beneficial in determining the status of outstanding licensing actions relating to Point Beach and in general providi:1g insight into the conduct of operations at the facility.
In particular, the plant tour and discussions with plant personnel will enhance our ability to effectively carry out our tasks and perform our regulatory function.
I greatly appreciate the time and effort expended by yourself and your staff in this regard.
I look forward to the continuing free-flowing open comunication and coordination between our staffs in pursuit of comon safety goals.
