INSTRUMENTED INSPECTION TECHNIQUE USAGE By letters dated April 11,1988 (Serial No.1486) and September 8,1988 (Serial No. 1582) Toledo Edison Company submitted information and drawings concerning the use of the Instrumented Inspection Technique (IIT) during pressure tests at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1. The letters and attachment identify the systems on which the IIT will be applied and provide a discussion of the methodology to be used.

The staff has reviewed the information contained in the subject letters and finds the application of the IIT at the Davis-Besse Station represents an acceptable alternative testing method as discussed in the topical report on the IIT that was evaluated and approved by letter dated November 7,1985.
