NOTICE OF DEVIATION Illinois Power Company Docket No. 50-461 As a result of the inspection conducted on February 24 through March 13, 1986, and in accordance with the " General Policy for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the following deviation was identified:
In the Final Safety Analysis Report, the licensee connitted to preoperational/
acceptance test the Security battery in accordance with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standard 450-1980.
Contrary to the above, the capacity of the Security battery was not detennined during acceptance testing as required by the IEEE Standard 450-1980.

This is a Deviation (Supplement II).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written statement or explanation in reply, including:
(1) corrective action taken and results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid further deviations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your response time for gocd cause shown.
