The NRC staff has completed its review of your submittals dated July 36 and November 18, 1987, and April 11, 1988, regarding your anticipated transients without scram (ATNS) design to meet 10 CFR 50.62.
The NRC staff finds that your ATWS design is acceptable; however, the issue of Technical Specification requirements is still open and under review by the NRC staff.
Our safety evaluation is enclosed.
