3 86-009 CH INSTRU Automatic control was not functional due to blockage of steam flow sensing lines to the transmitter and the loss of the corresponding feed flow transmitter due to an installation error. The resultant manual control of level A beginning of cycle conditions created large variation in level ending in a high level trip of the turbine and subsequent reactor trip.

Instrument line problems were corrected.

4 Cll INSTRU Unit manually ramped offline due to potential instrumentation problems with "C" steam generator level control. Problem was traced to a zero shift in transmitter loop calibration and' corrected. While unit was offline other secondary systems were checked for proper operation. Reactor remained critical.
