This' letter transmits the results of the special inspection to perform
assessments of the Peach Bottom operating crews as described in a letter from
Mr. William Russell, Regional Administrator to Mr. J. W. Gallagher, Vice -
President Nuclear Operations dated September 21, 1987.
The assessn.ents were
performed between November 13, 1987, and January 14, 1988. The inspection team
'
was lead by Mr. David Lange and Mr. Allen Howe.
The inspection concluded that the operating crews exhibited satisfactory
performance in all areas assessed.
Your attention is directed to Sec' ion 8 of
the enclosed report regarding the individual communications weaknesses
identified. .No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in
this matter is appreciated.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this
