Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs'. D. L. Kelley and R. A. Azua
of this office during the period May 2-6, 1988, of activities authorized by NRC
Operating License DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and
to the discussion of our findings with Mr. S. M. Quennoz and other members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The area examined during the inspection was the Unit 2 startup testing from
Refueling Outage 2R6. Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective
examination of procedures and representative test result records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspectors.
The inspection
findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
