Dear Mr. Wahl:

This is in response to your letter of November 20, 1985, to Mr. Dircks which requests the NRC staff to reconsider its position, expressed in a March 22, 1985 letter to Consumers Power Company, which holds open certain of the allegations made by E. Earl Kent regarding the Midland Power Station. The staff indicated that the allegations would be subject to follow-up inspections if and when construction at Midland should resume.

The information contained in your letter of November 20, 1985 has been reviewed by the staff and all Midland allegations (other than those referred to 01) are now considered to be closed.
