SCHEDULAR EXEMPTION FROM CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR 50.54(W) (TAC N0. M66691)

RE: SH0REHAM NUCLEAR POWER STATION The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted the enclosed exemption from certain requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(w). The exemption was requested for relief from the required minimum coverage limit of 1.06 billion dollars for on-site property damage until such time that authorization to operate the Shoreham plant above.the current five percent of' full rated power restriction is granted. The exemption is in response to your November 23, 1987 request.

Based on the' staff's evaluation contained in the Safety Evaluation (copy enclosed), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted your schedular exemption pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50.12. The exemption is being forwarded ,

to the Office of the Federal Register for publication. This completes our action related to the above referenced TAC number.
