SAFETY ANALYSIS

SUMMARY

The Model GP source is no' longer manufactured or distributed by Gamma Industries', Inc. and Gamma Industries, Inc. is no-longer in

' business.

Therefore, the registration certificate is being l converted to an inactive registration certificate.

~

The source was originally approved for licensing purposes by the

! Louisiana' Division of Radiation Control.

NRC attempted to obtain

. copies of all information submitted by the registrant in suppart

'of the evaluation.

However, NRC could not locate all the J

information.

Therefore, no' safety evaluation of the source was

. performed ~as part of the conversion of the certificate to

~ inactive status.
