lbcket No. 50-414 Technical Specification Amendment Steam Generator Level Tap Rolocation This letter contains a proposed amendment to the Technical Specifications for Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-35 and NPF-52 for Catawba Units 1 and 2.
The request involves the changing of setpoints for steam generator levol trips due ta the relocation of the level taps.
The modification to relocate the steam generator level taps is scheduled to be completed during the next refueling outage for Unit 2.
The current starting dato j
for the Unit 2 outage is March 3. 1989.
The attachment contains the proposed changes and a discussion of the justification and a No Significant flazards Analysis. The analysis is included l
pursuant to 10CFR50.91 and it has been concluded the proposed amendment does not i
involvo significant hazards considerations.
Please note this submittal is not complete in that Westinghouse and Duka have not finalized all calculations to support the attached analysis, lioweve r, preliminary studies indicate the attached analysis is correct. We vill update this submittal in November.
If questions concerning this Technical Specifications amendment arise, arrang,ements for a rnecting at the NRC offices can be made.
This proposal involves one amendment. request to Catawba's Technical 4
Spectilcations. Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 170.21 a check for $150.0G l enclosed.
