I By letters dated November 8, 1983 and June 25, 1985 you provided responses to Items 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 of Generic Letter 83-28 concerning your preventive l

maintenance and surveillance programs for reactor trip breakers at Millstone Unit 2.

We find your programs acceptable provided that the following l

conditions are met.

1.

Measurement of the UVT device roller rivet armature clearance is done with the UVT armature in the energized position.

2.

Inspection and adjustment of the trip latch engagement is performed in accordance with the applicable GE instruction l

manual.

t We request that you confirm within 30 days that the above conditions will i

be met, i
