On Dec?mber 19, 1986. [ Reference (b)). New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) acting on behalf of the Seabrook Joint Owners notified the NRC that it sought to irrevocably surrender the Construction Permit (CPPR-136) for Seabrook Unit

2. It is the purpose of this letter to reaffirm that this remains the intent of the Joint Cw.ers.

With respect to your letter of May 17. 1988 please be advised thst New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) previously notified you tha: Seabrook Joint Owners requested that the Construction Permit for Seabrook Unit 2 be irrevocably surrendered. This prior notification van set forth in our letters dated December 3, 1986 [ Reference (c)) and December 19. 1986. Ve have no intention of requesting an extension of the permit's expiration date.
