Areas examined dur'ing this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
report. Within these areas,:the; inspection consisted of selective
examinatio'a s .ofiprocedures 'and representative . records, . interviews with
personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
No, violations.of NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this
'
inspection. However, several observations during this inspection have served
~ to reinforce a concern expressed in our recent SALP report concerning
documentation of maintenance activities. Additionally, we would like-to. draw
your attention to observations made by the inspectors concerning replacement
of a reactor coolant. system pressure boundary component discussed in paragraph
6 of this report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
