PERFORMANCE (SALP) REPORT
This refers to the meeting to review the 1987 SALP for the Trojan-Nuclear
Plant held with Mr. W. J. Lindblad, yourself and members of your staff at your
Portland office on April 22, 1988.
Subjects discussed during the meeting are
described in the enclosed meeting report provided for your information.
Tlie Region V staff found an improving trend in the functional areas of
radiological controls, emergency preparedness, licensing ~ activities, and
engineering. We encourage your continued improvement in these areas, as well
as the development of similar positive trends in the remaining functional
areas.
As discussed in the subject meeting, sustained management attention as
well as a more active participation by the Quality Assurance organization in
the assessment of plant activities is considered necessary to further improve
performance and assure management expectations are clearly communicated to all
