This' refers to th'e inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Farrell 'of this ' office

during the period January 1-31, 1986,- of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License DPR-34 for Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station,~and to the discus-

sion of 'our' findings with Mr. J. W. Gahm and other members of your staff at .the

-conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during the inspection included operational' safety verification,.

review of licensee event reports, training accreditation with INPO, I&E

Notice 85-100 (Rosemount transmitters), ESF-circulator break and seal remote

actuation,-and water ingress incident. Within these areas, the inspection

consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,

interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

These findings

are documented in the enclosed report.
