The enclosed report documents the aa ve subject inspection of Millstone 1.
The
inspection results have been discussed with Mr. J. Stetz of your staff. No viola-
tions were identified and no reply to this letter is required.
We have received your August 26, 1988 letter responding to the violation involving
nonadherence to th: Administrative Control Procedure (ACP) for the Material Equip-
ment Parts List (MEPL). While reviewing your corrective actions, we noted that
your staff identified a probiem involving timely auditing of the MEPL in accordance
with NEO 6.10.
After subsequent meetings with Millstone 1 management and other
members of your staff, we concluded that no safety concerns are apparent at this
time.
The MEPL program will be given further attention during future inspections.
We have received your July 29, 1988 letter which describes your plan to improve
the Millstone 1 emergency operating procedures. We will continue to evaluate this
e f f o ri. .
