PA 0009733 Gentlemen DESCRI,PTION OF NONCOMPLIANCE:
The total phosphorus of a sample from discharge point 501 (Sewage Treatment Plant) exceeded the permit limit.

CAUSE OF NONCOMPLIANCE:
The cause of the non-compliance is the sewage treatment plant is not able to reduce the phosphorus to below the permit limit.

= DURATION OF NONCOMPLI'ANCE:
The duration of the non-compliance has continued since tr e receipt of the new permit limits in October,1985.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
The site has discontinued use of cleaning products which were believed to be the major contributors of phosphate.
Our Engineering Department has evaluated treatment systems that can reduce the total phosphorus to within permit limitations.
.They have decided on an aluminum chloride coagulant treatment system.
This has been DER approved.
It is expected to be installed during the month of February, 1986.
