TRANSMITTAL OF SAFETY EVALUATION FOR TVA NUCLEAR PERFORMANCE PL AN, VOLUME 3, BROWNS FERRY hUCLEAR PLANT, PART II, SECTION 2.6 "QUALITY ASSURANCE" (TAC 62736)

Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 Enclosed is a safety evaluation (SE) based on the staff review and evaluation of the Quality Assurance Program as submitted by TVA in the Browns Ferry Nuclear Perfonnance Plan, Revision 1, dated June 1987.
The SE describes the relationship of Volume 3, Section 2.6, QA to the TVA QA Topical Report (TVA-TR76-1A) as revised and approved by the staff on January 20, 1987.
The staff finds that with proper implementation, the Quality Assurance Program description is acceptable.
The staff will review the implementation of the Browns Ferry QA program prior to Unit 2 restart.
