This refers to the routine safety inspection of your Local Leak Rate Testing
activities conducted by Mr. Joseph A. Golla of this office on August 1-5, 1988
at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1, and to the discussions of our
findings held by Mr. Golla with Mr. R. Barley at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region !
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
