NRC BULLETIN 88-01, MPA B-100, "DEFECTS IN WESTINGHOUSE CIRCUIT BREAKERS" (TAC NO. 67683)

On February 5,1988, NRC Bulletin 88-01 was issued and requested holders of operating licenses or construction permits to provide letters of confirmation to the NRC of the completion of specified inspections on Westinghouse DS series circuit breakers. Addressees who do not have DS series circuit breakers in Class 1E service were requested to provide a letter to the NRC stating this fact.

Your response of April 8, 1988 confirmed that Westinghouse 05 series circuit breakers are not used in safety-related applications at timerick Units 1 and 2.

Thus, your response to Bulletin 88-01 is satisfactory ind no further reply is necessary.

For purposes of the Safety Issues Manageeent System (SIMS), MPA B-100 is being recorded both as fully implerented and verified as of the date of this letter.
