Alabama Power Company proposes to revise references to the corporate management position of Ser.ior Vice President to remove unnecessary details from the Technical Specifications. The ref rence to Senior Vice President is changed to vice president.
Additiona:
the reference to Senior Vice President was deleted from 6.5.1.8 since o.5.2.2 already defines the NORB Chairman to be the vice president. The more general reference to the vice president vould reduce the need for license amendmeats to reflect title changes while still maintaining an executive position that has corporate responsibility for oversight of activities affecting safety.
The proposed Technical Specification changes are provided in Attachment 1.
Alabama Power Company has determined that the proposed changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.92, a significant hazards consideration evaluation is provided in.
Alabama Power Company's Plant Operations Review Committee has reviewed these proposed changes and the Nuclear Operations Review Board vill review these proposed changes at a future meeting.
NRC approval of this change is requested as soon as practicable.
In letter dated April 28, 1988, Alabama Power Company requested the deletion of offsite and onsite organization charts (Figures 6.2.1 and 6.2-2) from Technical Specifications 6.2.1 and 6.2.2.
Page 6-1 for Units 1 and 2 of the April 28, 1988 letter should be replaced with Page 6-1 in Attachment 1.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 170.21, the required License Amendment Application Fee of $150.00 is enclosed. A copy of this proposed change has also been sent to Dr. C. E. Fox, the Alabama State Designee, in accordance with 10 CFR MO f 50.91(b)(1).
