Catawba Nuclear Station Emergency Plan Request for' Additional ENS Location Gentlemen:
We are making preparations to change to the control room personnel portion of Emergency Plan drills from our control room to the new National Academy for Nuclear Training Branch at the site.
In order to fully exerciso effective communication practices with the Bethesda Operations Center, we are seeking your approval for an ENS phone line to be established there in the simulator area. This arrangement is currently successful at our Oconee Nuclear Station.
Precautionary measures will be taken to ensure appropriate control of this phone for drill use only.
With your approval, we request that this proposal be forwarded to your Headquarters Telecomunications Branch for implementation.
