Gentlemen:

This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. P. ricKee, G. Gower, R. Brady

and an NRC consultant during the period February 22-25, 1988 and April 21-22,

1988, of the TV Electric programs established to identify and investigate safety

concerns of workers at the Comanche Peak plant site, and to the discussion of

i

our findings with Mr. R. Werner of TV Electric on February 25, 1988, and

Mr. J. B. George, Vice President Support, and other members of your staff

on April 22, 1988.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the

inspection. Within these areas, the inipection consisted of selected examina-

tion of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and

observations by the inspectors.

The staff is following an investigation being dune by Corporate Security

which involves concerns related to SAFETEAM. When the investigation is

completed, we will review the results and corrective actions, if any, to

detemine any impact on the findings of the enclosed inspection report.
