DOCUMENTATION OF MEETING HELD WITH A GEORGIA POWER COMPANY (GPC) '

0FFICIAL - V0GTLE DOCKET N0. 50-424 This letter is to document a meeting between Mr. William Ramsey, of the GPC Vogtle Readiness Review Staff, and Mr. Marvin Sinkule, of my staff on January 25, 1986, in the Region II Office in Atlanta. The meeting was held at GPC's request.

The purpose of the meeting was for Mr. Ramsey to conduct a briefing of Georgia Power Company's plan to modify the Vogtle Readiness Review Program. Mr. Ramsey stated that GPC has reviewed overall program objectives and, as a result, intends to reduce the scope of certain Modules and Appendices in the Readiness Review Program. The decision to do this is based on a review to verify that: the deleted readiness review was included in other Readiness Review Modules /or Appendices; or the objectives of readiness review will be satisfied by other ,

program initiatives. The Modules / Appendices affected are: Module 15 Emergency '

Preparedness; Module 18B, Fire Protection; Module 18C, Diesel Generators; Module 18D, Radwaste; Appendix A, Organization; Appendix B, Design Control; Appendix H, Nonconformances; and Appendix K, Construction Completion.

Georgia Power Company is planning to submit a written change to the Vogtle Readiness Review Program when internal reviews are completed and approvals are obtained.
