As a followup to a telecon on May 10, 1988 with Dr. K. N. Jabbour and W. k r ave,-
the attached page 9.2-7 will be submitted with this year's Final Safety Analysis i
Report (FSAR) update. As agreed, "loss of Lake Wylie" will be added back to the end of the first sentence of-the second paragraph of section 9.2.1.3.
I During the telecon, all agreed this statement does not imply the design bases is a simultaneous LOCA and seismic event. This was explained in our February 18, 1988 letter.
t Therefore, it is again requested that the NRC Staff approve the Technical l
Specification changes and the proposed change in the design bases for the Nuclear l
Service Water System. Since this submittal supplements Duke's letter of October
{
16, 1987, no additional part 170 fees are included.
