OF ftEETING HELD APRIL 27 AND 28, TO DISCUSS THE V0GTLE UNIT 1 AND 2 DRAFT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (TAC 67078)
On April 27 and 28, 1988, the staff met with the representatives of the Georgia Power Company at the Vogtle site in Waynesboro, Georgia to discuss the Vogtle Unit I and 2 draft Technical Specifications.
Participants are listed in the Enclosure.
On April 27, 1988, a tour was conducted of Vogtle Unit 2 and a portion of Vogtle Unit 1 of interest to the NRC staff reviewing the draft Technical Specifications.
Included in the tour were the Unit 2 control room, remote shutdown panels, a diesel generator, the turbines, a battery room, the spent fuel pools, containment tendon ends, and the Unit 2 containment.
On April 28, 1988, a meeting was held to discuss items in the NRC staff marked up copy sent to the applicant on April 1, 1988. Specific items discussed include containment tendons, accident monitoring instrumentation, Technical Specification 3.0.5, area temperature monitoring, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix G rec,uirements.
