Inspection No. 70-1252/86-01 This refers to the safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. G. C. Smith of this office of an irradiated reactor fuel shipment, on January 31, 1986, at Port Elizabeth, Elizabeth, New Jersey, a port of call.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
