Inspection No. 70-1739/86-01 This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. G. C. Smith of this office on January 15, 1986, of an irradiated reactor fuel shipment from McMaster University, at the U. S. Customs port of entry (Peace Bridge, Buffalo, New York) and in transit (through Buffalo, New York).
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
