AT THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN RALEIGH, NC ON JANUARY 16, 1986 AND AT THE BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT (BSEP)
ON JANUARY 17, 1986
Background:
! On January 16, 1986 E. Sylvester and M. Grotenhuis visited the CP&L Corporate offices to discuss the status of the BSEP licensing actions. On January 17, 1986, the meeting was reconvened at the BSEP site in Southport, NC. As indicated, the purpose was to discuss the status of BSEP. licensing actions. In addition, a site visit was included to observe areas involved in current licensing actions and attend the maintenance survey exit meeting.
Attendees at the meeting in Raleigh are listed in Attachment 1, attendees at the site visit are listed in Attachment 2.
Summary of Meeting January 16, 1986 As indicated, the purpose of the meeting was to conduct a joint review of all CP&L licensing actions involving BSEP. Normally, this review is conducted in Bethesda, but on occasion it is held at the corporate office in Raleigh. This meeting was moved to Raleigh to tie in with a related site visit the following day at the BSEP site.
The major licensing issues as listed in the licensing action report were discussed.

The meeting at the site had two purposes. One purpose was to continue discussion of some of the items discussed at the Raleigh meeting by observing the areas and the equipment involved. In particular, this included the Emergency Response facilities, the cable penetrations in the control room floor, and the nitrogen switchover system. The other purpose was to attend the maintenance survey exit meeting.
