As Iowa's liaison to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I have been receiving telephone calls from NRC, both Washington and regional offices, whenever.there is a report required to be made to the state concerning a nuclear mishap or incident.
In order that such information may be disseminated to the appropriate persons more rapidly, I would appreciate your changing your records to indicate a member of che Comission staff as the telephone contact to receive such reports. Effective immediately, all telephone contacts concerning mishaps or incidents should.be reported to Thomas L. Houvenagle, Special Projects Engineer, Area Code.515, 281-5920.
