l On August 9, 1988, we received your submittal of Revision 6B to the Generating Stations Emergency Plan (GSEP). We have completed our review of Revision 6B, dated March 1988, and have determined that it is consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and does not decrease the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan, i

Among the changes included in Revision 6B are:
identification of the Corporate Command Center as the Backup Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) for only the Zion Station; clarification on the types of information to be communicated to the NRC by EOF versus Technical Support Center 56aff; and, the transfer of responsibility for offsite emergency organization training from Production Training Center to corporate Emergency Planning staff.
Be advised that 10 CFR 50.54(q) requires prior NRC approval of any changes to your plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the plan.
However, if your safety review assures no d crease in emergency preparedness effectiveness, then changes to the plan may be madt and implemented without prior NRC approval in accordance with 10 CFR 5b 54(q).
Also, any changes to the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E.Section V.
l In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Connission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
