Dear Sir:
In References (b) and (c), the USNRC requested Yankee to review purchasing records for Yankee Nuclear Power Station and determine whether any ASME and ASTM fittin6s and flanges f rom Piping Supplies, Inc. (PSI), at Folsom, New Jersey or West Jersey Manufacturing Company (WJM) at Williamstown, New Jersey had been furnished to our facility. In Reference (d), the USNRC temporarily suspended the above-requested cetions, however, requested that Yankee. report on its progress to date.
We have conducted the following reviews: (1) all quality assurance purchases of pipe and fittings dating bank to 1973, (2) a best effort review of nonsafety-related vondors dating back to 1982, and (3) all safety-related service contracts dating back to 1973, and have not found any relationships either directly or indirectly from PSI or WJM.
