N0ZZLE LOAD INTERFACES SDAR: CP-87-122 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT) i Gentlemen:
l On January 5, 1988, we notified you via our report logged Txx r,8026 of various equipment nozzle loads which were deemed to be unacceptable. Our last report on this issue was logged TXX-88370, dated April 14, 1988.
In TXX-88026 we identified four specific equipment nozzle interfaces (items a through d) which required corrective action.
The purpose of this report is to revise the j
corrective actions for the emergency diesel generator inlet lube oil pressure strainer clip angles (item d), and to update the corrective action
(
implementation schedule.
In TXX-88026 we stated that the emergency diesel generator inlet lube oil pressure strainer clip angle overstress problem would be eliminated by modify ng the existing clips. Honever, a subsequent stress calculation j
. utiliz ng "as-built" nozzle loads ar.d a refined method of analysis has determined that no overstress condition exists in the clip angles.
Consequently, the mounting has been qualified and no further corrective action is required for this item.
