This refers to th1 inspection conducted oy Mr. H. S.
Phillipa
during the period April 6 through May 3,
1988, of activities
authorized by NRC Construction Permite CPPR-126 and CPPR-127 for
the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, and to the
discussion of our findings with Mr. L. D. Nace and other members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas
,
exmained during the inspection.
Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.

Witvin the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations
were identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of :he Commissien's regulations, a
copy of this letter and the enclossd inspection ceport will be
