COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)
DOCKET NO. 50-445 THREAD ENGAGEMENT OF BOLTS FOR UNIT 1 STEAM GENERATOR UPPER LATERAL SUPPORT BEAMS SDAR: CP-85-03 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On February 14, 1985, we notified you by our letter, logged TXX-4415, of a deficiency involving anchor bolts in the steam generator upper lateral supports that were found to have less than the 2 1/4" engagement required by the design drawings.
In this letter, we also determined this issue to be reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
This issue was subsequently identified by our report logged TXX-6435, dated May 13, 1987, as an item for which a final report had been issued.
However, the corrective actions were formulated but the schedule for the implementation of those actions was not established.
This report is submittod to status the implementation of those corrective actions.
In our report TXX-4415, we noted that our corrective actions would consist of replacement of the anchor bolts to conform to the design requirements.
The replacement of the anchor bolts has been completed.
