Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. L. T. Ricketson and'
Dr. J. B. Nicholas of this offico during the period July 18-22, 1988, of
accivities authorized by NRC Operating-Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas
Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. J. M. Levine and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
-
inspection on July 22, 1988.
Areas e'xarrined during the inspection included the liquid and gaseous
radioactive waste management programs.
Within these areas, the' inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspectors.
The
inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
