Steam Generator Tube Leak Surry, Unit No. 2 was shutdown on 7/11/77 due to increased primary to secondary leakage in 2C steam generator. Measured leakage rate was 0.31 gpm, which exceeded the 0.3 gpm license limit.
Inspection on 7/14/77 showed that a tube tube. The plug had either fallen out or alug was missing from a leaking ..
. .ad not been installed. An inspection of 2B steam generator showed some leaking tubes and leaks i,
around tube plugs. 2A SG remains to be inspected. VEPC0 now estimates that Surry Unit No. 2 will be shutdown for about three weeks. NRR approval is required prior to startup.
