SUBJECT:
CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION FOR AMENDMENT REQUEST DATED FEBRUARY 26, 1988 By letter dated February 26, 1988, ANF requested an amendment to License No.
SNM-1227 to update dosimetry requirements and SNM safeguards references, modify treatment of HEPA filter systems, and correct typographical errors.
Most of these changes are administratise and will have no effect on the public health and safety or the environment.
The modification in the treatment of the HEPA filters is a procedural change allowing small potentially corrosive gas flows to be mixed with large non-corrosive gas flows and is not expected to cause any problems with the HEPA filters.
No adverse effects to the environment or the public health and safety are expected.
Accordingly, the staff has concluded that the following c,nditions have been raet:
1.
There is no significant change in the type or significant increase in the amount of any effluents that may be released offsite, 2.
There is no significant increase in individual or cumulative occupational radiation exposure, 3.
There is no significant construction impact, and 4.
There is no significant increase in the potential for or consequences from radiological accidents.
Therefore, in accordance with 10 CFR 51.22(c)(11), neither an Environmental Assessment nor an Environmental Impact Statement is warranted for this proposed action.
